NASA unveils Valkyrie, a 6-foot 2-inch, 275-pound rescue robot. The 'bot, the winner of the DARPA Robotics Challenge, a contest designed to find the life-saving robot of tomorrow, will soon undergo a test to see if it can perform tasks like climbing a ladder and using tools. Valkyrie uses its three-fingered hands to manipulate objects, and it's loaded with cameras and sensors so it can eventually operate as autonomously as possible. Hopefully, this turns out to be a great device to help us with space exploration and more.

What's another way we can organize your computers? What about email? Your Favorite Websites? Your Blog Posts? RSS Feeds?

Social Bookmark IconsThere are many ways to organize our computers. One way we can organize our computers is folders. Probably the most simple to way to find our stuff. For email, we can select the emails to go to the category they should be in like in gmail for example: Primary, Social, and Promotion. As for favorite websites, we can add the website into the Bookmark Tool Bar under the address bar so we can click on it no matter what page we are on. As for Blog Posts, We can also simply add it to the Tool Bar or depending on where you do your blogs on, you can add it to apps. And finally for RSS Feeds we can use a great website called Digg to find everything we want in one place. There are so many great options for us to organize everything with the tools and websites we have today.

China Test New Stealth Drone

China's new stealth drone flew for the first time, according to Chinese state media. The drone is an unmanned flying wedge, similar to American flying wedges like the RQ-170 and the U.S. Navy's experimental X-47B. It bears a striking resemblance to Russia's MiG Skat drone. Named Li Jan, or "Sharp Sword", the drone is suppose to be invisible to a UAV and is a huge step for China's military.

Do Now 11/3

Twitter would be great for education! Twitter is a world of information. You can find many educational pages on twiter with variety of subjects. Most of the time the data is there. It could just be a matter of finding it. Students are able to ask questions and receive answers in real-time. Teachers, in an effort to stay more connected to their students, may set up Twitter accounts specifically for engaging in educational discussion.Twitter can also be used to quickly connect to multimedia resources (e.g. YouTube or Vine) and turn education much more interesting! Most of all Twitter is brief and to-the-point makes for an easy use of learning. I Think its a great idea and we should start using it more.

Do Now 11/18

Something I ignite is giving back. For Thanksgiving, my family and I give food away to the local food drive in Wood-Ridge. For Christmas me and my mom give away my old toys and clothes to her school that she works at. You get the best feeling ever when you give. Especially to children. You made someone's wish come true to get a gift. It makes you a better person in general and influences more people around the world to do the same.

New Hypersonic Spy Plane

Artist's rendering shows Lockheed Martin's planned SR-72 twin-engine jet aircraft

Lockheed Martin is developing a hypersonic spy plane, called the SR-72, that will be able to fly at Mach 6, or six times the speed of sound (which would make it the fastest plane in the world). Missiles targeting this aircraft is impossible as its speed will make the missiles follow it until it explodes on its own. It can travel anywhere in the world in less than an hour. This plane is expected to start flying early 2018 and is also causing more jobs to be open for Lockheed Martin.

11/11 Do Now

The typhoon in the Philippines was a devastating disaster in history. Its really sad how thousands died and hundreds of thousands of peoples houses were destroyed. I have friends that have families in the the Philippines and I have sympathy for them. We should donate to the Red Cross or have a charity race or fundraiser from the town or school to raise money for the victims of the Philippines Typhoon disaster.

Do Now 10/28: Invisibility

If I was invisible, I would go to Iraq or Afghanistan and help the U.S troops in battle. The enemy would not be able to see me and I could go in and kill them or get important info from their base or headquarters. This would make me a hero has many lives could be saved and threats wouldn't be unknown to us and other countries.

Another heroic thing i would do is guide the firefighters .Wherever the Firefighters would go I would follow to help them with things that they cant do. If someone was trapped in a burning house fire I would be able to go right in, pick them up and walk out all unharmed. Same thing with the cops. If they all going after a criminal, I would be able to stop them and the cops would have them. This would make more people more safe, less injured, and save lives as not all firefighter actions and cop chases are fully successful. The invisibility cloak would change the world within the right hands of the right person.

Military's New War Machine

Military has come up with a new weapon to help us in battle called "The Protector". It
carries gear for troops on foot and can be customized to clear paths through minefields or dig defensive positions. With a gun on top, it can do many of the things a soldier does in the field. A remote pilot can control the Protector from almost 3,300 feet away. The gun mounted on top is an M-240 machine gun that can spray bullets up to 5,900 feet. This will definitely be effective in future wars.

10/7 Do Now

If i was a teacher and could have any class, I would have an Athletics class with personal athletic trainers to help with the course with me. Students will perform activities based on the sport we learn each week. This class will not be fully on sports, but also working out and eating healthy. Students would take notes about the topic and later during the class show a demonstration of what is being learned. As for a test, they will have to write how the sport is played, and the basics like how many players, and plays their are. On days that the students behave, we will take them to the field and play a game and learn the skills of the sport for itself.

On other days, mostly Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, will be our workout days. It will consist of weightlifting and cardio for everyone! As class trips, we get private lessons from the top athletes in the tri-state area including Victor Cruz for football, Carmelo Anthony for basketball, and Derek Jeter for baseball at each of their own stadiums/arenas. The students will be participating in fun and creative challenges that are based on skill and agility with the star athletes and even some of their teammates! Our class is top of the charts and goes beyond physical education! This class is for anyone but you have to be dedicated and hardworking to be in this course.

Mutimedia Blog Post

Mr. Colarusso is a great teacher! He teaches Biology, Anatomy,Physiology, and Life Science. He is also the class advisor for the Seniors. He attended Kean University, Rider College, and the University. He is also an outgoing man and plays golf, and goes on day trips with his son.
This class is mainly about the study of life. We learn about molecules, cell organizations, organisms and body systems. We also do labs together which are really fun! He also lets us work with other sudents at our table. Ms. Woods is also the assistant teacher and is very helpful.
Mr. Colarusso has a regular grading system of 40% for tests, 40% for projects, 10% for homework and 10% for participation. He does not accept people who do not participate or complete their work. He also has a online textbook for us which is much easier than actual textbook. He is great by posting the homework and his website and in his class lets us type our hw in our phones. Im very excited to have Mr. Colsrusso as my Biology teacher!

Doomsday Bunker
From the outside it looks just like another Las Vegas real estate disaster. But down below there's 15,000 square feet of nothing to do. Good times!

This ultimate doomsday bunker went up for sale for $1.75 million in Las Vegas. It obviously comes with a proper above ground house. The subterranean hideaway is 26 ft below. This is not even close to a plain bunker, it has a pool, two Jacuzzi's, and a sauna! Its decorated to be a real house and have a real backyard. And this is only the basement that's 15,000 sq feet! The house itself... is 5,000 ft. This house can withstand a nuke explosion or even a zombie apocalypse and is definitely the place you want to stay if you want to live!

Fake grass has come a long way since the '70s. Sadly, David Cassidy has not.
